Mitch was a Navy pilot so we gave him a few 'spacey' games to play. He won the right to pick the very first game and chose Blaster. Great game but his opponent annihilated him on it, and Mitch was not able to catch up. Mitch did get a chance to play a brand new game (and a great one) called Cube Quest. We thought this was a great game but it was never widely released so not many people got a chance to play it. Mitch was one of the few. |
When he appeared on Starcade!, Mitch was, according to his short bio, "10 years in the US Navy, Lt. Commander rank Navy Instructor Pilot in P-3 Anti-submarine Aircraft. He was "completing his Master's Degree at Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Ca. ... taking hang gliding lessons ... a certified scuba diver ... teaching computer literacy to elementary children. He had a son, then (1983) 5 years old.
|
When he checked in, Mitch told us he's living on the East Coast and "I fly internationally for FedEx around the world. "I'll always remember my experience on Starcade!" And we remember Mitch - bright, fun and ready for the challenge.
