Mike's Page

Contestant: Mike Levine

Mike was 15 and in the 9th grade when he appeared on STARCADE! In his bio he said that the most interesting thing about him was, "I'm funny" And he considered himself "good at most games." He wanted to be on STARCADE! because "it looks like it would be a lot of fun."

His favorite games were Pole Position, Galaga, Stargate and Defender. He met some tough competition in his opponent Jim Irving but managed to win the Overall Competition AND the Name the Game prize. He also won the right to play for the Grand Prize - a Black Widow video arcade game - but missed the score to beat by 328 points.

Games on Mike's Show

Q*Bert, Bump N Jump, Pole Position, Mario Bros and Ms Pac Man. Grand Prize: Black Widow
When Mike checked in, he told us that "After High School I got into acting and pursued a career as an  actor appearing in some plays and doing some small parts, wasn't too successful, but did well enough to get my SAG card and meet some pretty great people."

"After that, I moved to San Diego to help a friend start a business ... then moved back to L.A. to try to pursue acting a bit more. Did some bartending and had a lot of fun." After not earning too much money, I got into advertising. I did better in advertising than I did in acting because I had more control over my destiny as far as income. I learned a lot about the business world too."

Mike's Company Website

Check out Mike's company website Digital Records Management at http://www.drm2000.com.
"Over the past 3 years, a friend and I created a company called Digital Records Management ... we scan documents and put them on CD-Rom  ... and convert vhs home movies and most other media to CD or DVD.

"Eventually, I plan to get back into something more creative, writing and acting, but at the moment, my focus is on building up our company."

"I have no idea how my friend Brian found (the Starcade) web site, but he and the rest of my friends have been pretty upset ever since I misplaced the Starcade video. As embarrassing as it was, it seems to bring people to tears when they see it."

Wow! Mike. What a hunk! Or as your friend Shoshana says (according to your Postcard = seen below), you're "just too cute for words."
