| Noe
appeared with his uncle Marco Torres as a team on show #108. They
were a great team ... beating their competition, a mother/son
team, by 27,000+ points. They were actually running second
by 11,000+ points until the second game when they answered the
question correctly winning the right to pick the next playing
game. They chose Change Lanes, a high scoring game and came
back strong, scoring 38,303 more points than their competition.
Continuing their winning strategy, they won the right to pick
the third game played and chose Elevator Action, a low scoring
game. This strategy prevented their competition from
catching up. They won the overall competition AND the Grand
Prize game.
Noe played Snake Pit to win a Super Zaxxon video arcade game which
he tells us, "is now long gone SADLY." |
According to Noe, Starcade! "was a great
experience...Geoff was a really nice guy, too."
"I feel bad though in the 'swagger' my uncle and I had
going up against the mother/son team (Wolski/Byrd). We
should of been more graceful in retrospect. Overall a great
experience and after the show they (meaning the Producers of
Starcade!) let us rampage through their arcade for the
afternoon." Yes, we did. During the taping of a Starcade! show, our
arcade consisted of approximately 90 of the latest and greatest
video arcade games, all on free play in Studio 2.
Marco tells us, he became an IT professional with a career centered around technology management and software development. When he's not ITing, Marco plays with his band 'phfit', playing modern and classic rock tunes. According to Marco, "my nephew received the lion's share of the spoils from out winnings." |
