Leo's Page

Contestant: Leo Schwab

Leo has the unique distinction of having been on two STARCADE! shows. As one of our best players, he was invited back to play in one of the STARCADE! Invitational shows.

While Leo was a great player, luck was not on his side and he did not win the grand prize on either show.

Reason Leo wanted to be on STARCADE!: "It might be interesting and fun. It's nice to win things, too!"

Prizes won: Mr Disc Portable Record Player (which he says was 'quite cool' and he 'still has it laying around somewhere,' Texas Instruments Computer & Monitor, a K-Tel Record Collection (which he says he donated to his high school radio station).

Leo's STARCADE memory:

"I was a contestant on your show about -- good grief, can this be true? -- 20 years ago."

"I was also invited to return to a 'champions' show, where I also failed to advance to the final round owing to a simple tactical error on my part."

"I'm surprised how much I remember of the experience, given that I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday."

"I currently work  writing graphics device drivers.  And I play far too many video games (mostly Quake over the Internet)."

Leo poses this interesting idea - "Ever thought of inviting us ossified oldsters (we think he means former Starcade contestants) back to see if we can still play those games? You could give it a really dum name, too, like "Who Wants to Play Ancient Video Games on a TV Games Show That Might Be Watched by a Millionaire?" Yes, Leo we have and we just might.
